ABOUT Rebecca

Rebecca Stein is an actress, singer and writer born and based in New York City. Interested in the arts from an early age, Rebecca attended performing arts high school with lessons in theatre, voice, dance, directing and film. Rebecca was instantly drawn to plays with strong, nuanced characters with an emotionally fraught arc - Beckett’s Vladimir, Shepard’s May, Ibsen’s Nora. She then compounded that with rigorous training at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

At Tisch, Rebecca deepened her understanding of need, connection, movement, character, play analysis, and voice & speech, studying primarily under Stella Adler’s famous technique. Upon graduating with a BFA in drama into the pandemic in May 2020, Rebecca recognized a need to pivot professionally, while her desire for the creative remained ever burning in the background. After a two year stint in corporate America (and what a better study for an actor to observe a cast of characters?) Rebecca returned back to acting, ready for anything.

Recent work includes “Brit” for Honeylove Shapewear LLC’s new social campaign, lead vocalist of the “Comeback Cabaret” for TDCNYC, and a leading role in Meg Smith’s new music video “Joni” as the Bride. She is currently enrolled at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, under the tutelage of Mike Grenham. Rebecca is currently unsigned and looking for the right fit. Please reach out! :)
